“Denise ran the 5k on Saturday, August 9th, 2008. AJ and I did the Racewalk. Actually AJ got pushed in the stroller but it was all cool. As you will read in the article I got 1st place in my division 30-39. What the reporter was kind enough to leave out is that at my time of 47:59, the 76 yr old lady in the same race still outpaced me. Lucky for me she was not in my division!! Anyhow, this is my first win ever in a sport (well there was that Pinewood Derby win of 1985). Anyhow, it was even more suprising to see us all on the front page of the local newspaper the Crestline Courier (readership 5000?).
