Wannabe Bumpkins…

“It should come as no shock to any of the readers of this blog that we are a bunch of wannabe country bumpkins. I say wannabe, because lets face it, if I really had to survive out on my own in the hills without our little cabin we would be gone within hours. I am no match for a racoon let alone a black bear, both of which abound in the San Bernardino Forest. Anyhow, we do have bumpkin tendencies as evidenced in yesterday’s activities. We started out by going to the fair held by the National Forest Association at the Lake Arrowhead Village:

Denise would like to say “”I may be getting smaller, but I am still plenty big””:

We enjoyed looking at all the booths and listening to the National Park Ramblers:

After that we went to a baptism, then at night we went to the local 66ers game. It was fun even though at 15 to 2 it was slaughter!! Our 66ers try hard, but let’s face it, they are still not quite ready for the Dodgers:
