{"id":187,"date":"2009-08-02T04:38:43","date_gmt":"2009-08-02T04:38:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pedrozaplace.com\/blog1\/?p=187"},"modified":"2009-08-02T04:38:43","modified_gmt":"2009-08-02T04:38:43","slug":"things-to-do-after-a-minor-earthquake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.johnpedroza.com\/blog1\/things-to-do-after-a-minor-earthquake\/","title":{"rendered":"Things to do after a Minor Earthquake."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;If you are having trouble viewing the photos or videos, go to www.johnpedroza.com\/blog1<\/p>\n<div style=\"\"text-align: center\"\"><b>A Pedroza Skit by John Pedroza<\/b><\/div>\n<p>\nThe scene is the Pedroza Cottage it is about 6AM and a big BOOM BOOM BOOM! noise is heard, the items in the house quickly rattle and then go back to their normal still positions&#8230;)<br \/>\nDenise: Did you hear that?<br \/>\nJohn: Guess God says it is time to get up.<br \/>\nDenise: I think we just had a earthquake.<br \/>\nJohn: Does this mean I still have to go work OT (Overtime at work)?<br \/>\nDenise: Yes, go. <br \/>\n(It is now 4 hours of OT, an oil change, and a hour waiting to register our car at the AAA later&#8230;) <br \/>\nJohn: So, we just survived a 3.7 earthquake what should we do now?<br \/>\nDenise: I want to go to the OC Fair.<br \/>\nJohn: Uh, ok.<br \/>\n(John, Denise, and AJ get in their &#8220;&#8221;new to them car&#8221;&#8221; and start parking along the 91 freeway, about an hour and a half passes)<br \/>\nJohn: Umm, we have to be back by 8PM, I don&#8217;t think we are going to make it.<br \/>\nDenise: We are going to make it.<br \/>\nJohn: But we will only be able to go to the fair for two hours.<br \/>\nDenise: Ok, I guess we will just have to go to Disneyland.<br \/>\nJohn: (smiling) Ok.<\/p>\n<p>And so went our day, we only rode on one attraction (Haunted Mansion) and saw the parade, but it was all good. The parade right now is called &#8220;&#8221;Celebrate&#8221;&#8221;:<br \/>\n<%image(20090802-mickeycelebrateweb.jpg|336|448|null)%><br \/>\nIt isn&#8217;t the traditional &#8220;&#8221;sit-down on the curb&#8221;&#8221; parade you are probably used to. It consists of about 6 floats and they stop at three locations along the parade route and do a little routine.<br \/>\n<%image(20090802-celebratecastleshoteweb.jpg|336|448|Celebrate in front of the castle.)%><br \/>\nWe watched the parade in front of the Penny Arcade:<br \/>\n<object width=\"\"425\"\" height=\"\"344\"\"><param name=\"\"movie\"\" value=\"\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/de9bbtrrQCM&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1\"\"><\/param><param name=\"\"allowFullScreen\"\" value=\"\"true\"\"><\/param><param name=\"\"allowscriptaccess\"\" value=\"\"always\"\"><\/param><embed src=\"\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/de9bbtrrQCM&#038;hl=en&#038;fs=1\"\" type=\"\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\"\" allowscriptaccess=\"\"always\"\" allowfullscreen=\"\"true\"\" width=\"\"425\"\" height=\"\"344\"\"><\/embed><\/object><br \/>\nWe only spent about an hour or so at Disneyland, not much time but it was fun.
